DOUG HARA  is a theatre artist known for his highly physical and emotionally dynamic performances in productions all around the country from Chicago to Los Angeles to Broadway.  A longtime ensemble member of Chicago's Lookingglass Theatre Company, he has participated in 17 LTC productions since 1991.  While living in Chicago Doug performed in much of Mary Zimmerman's early work including Arabian Nights and Metamorphoses at Lookingglass, Journey to the West and The Odyssey at The Goodman Theatre, 11 Rooms of Proust at About Face Theatre, and The Notebooks of Leonardo Davinci at 2nd Stage Theater in NY.  After the Broadway run of Metamorphoses Doug moved to Lambertville, NJ in 2004 to raise a family.  Soon he began working regularly at Arden Theatre and has now become an established member of the Philadelphia theatre community.  Doug began directing at Arden Theatre with The Cat in the Hat (Co-directed with Steve Pacek, 2014), and continues with Metamorphoses in the fall of 2015.
